Well, That Happened
The biggest concern when coming up to the launch of Remington Platypus, for myself and the publisher, was quite obvious: Who on Earth is the audience for a gritty, darkly comic, noir, crime thriller starring a cast of animals? We didn’t know, and we didn’t know if there was one or would be one. Consider us absolutely astounded then, that not only did the book find an audience, but it sold out the first print run in just over 24 hours.
With a second print run now available, and the startlingly positive reviews rolling, I wanted to take a moment to say, Thank you to everyone who picked up a copy or shared news about it on socials or told a friend about it. And massive thanks to Northodox Press for taking a chance on something that didn’t fit neatly into a marketable genre.
I feel incredibly lucky, and touched that my sad badger has found himself a fan base. I am immensely fond of that character and it means more than I can say that he’s struck a chord with so many of you.
Thank you
Steve
