Best of Derbyshire Poets 2017! Featuring Mort, Matt, Markham & Me (and Jamie whose name really ruined that bit of over alliteration)

Looking forward to returning to the ole stomping grounds for the Best of Derbyshire Poets gig on Jan 28th in Chesterfield.

"Great line up for this, including a rare home town appearance from Helen Mort, Derby's Word Wise poets Jamie Thrasivoulou and Michael Markham, Matthew Hedley Stoppard and Steve Nash, all topped off by a set from resident musical genius Ichabod"

Then at 11am on Saturday 10th we’re delighted to welcome award-winning local poet Steve Nash. Steve will be reading from his hot-off-the-press collection of poetry, The Calder Valley Codex, inspired by the natural landscapes and industrial heritage of Calderdale.

Calder Valley Codex - Out Now

My new pamphlet, The Calder Valley Codex is available now over at the Book Shop

PRAISE FOR THE CALDER VALLEY CODEX:
'Steve Nash's poems speak with a 'feral tongue', honouring the Calder valley, a landscape of breathing chimneys, swooning moors and night-sky stories. This collection celebrates the desire paths we forge through language as well as through landscape. The poems of The Calder Valley Codex make you 'press your ear to the page' and listen truly'
